The Living Spine
Enjoy my guest post today about The Living Spine – on California based Professional Yoga Therapy student and physical therapist Lisa B. Minn’s fantastic blog, The PragmaticYogi.
Living Well – The Integrative Lifestyle Medicine Blog is where Dr. Garner curates research, resources, and shares her experience as a longtime physical therapist, athletic trainer, Lifestyle Medicine practitioner, and professional yoga therapist. As a mother of 3 who is self-employed & self-made, Dr. Garner shares what she has learned about how to stay fit on a budget, how to eat well, sleep better, and manage stress. Ginger practices what she preaches, and her blog is a true reflection of that. Having gone through several surgergies, injuries, and hardships, Ginger’s story is a raw and real portrait that many of us share – one of overcoming big obstacles to build resilience, strength, and find eudemonia. Eudemonia translated means, a place beyond happiness. The Living Well blog, and Ginger’s clinical practice, EudeMOMia, an Integrative PT & Lifestyle Medicine practice for women, are a testament to Ginger’s ability to persist through difficult circumstances, overcome burnout & the threat of poverty, to speak to her passion – Living Well.

The Pursuit of Happiness in today’s hyperactive, super-stimulated, and over-medicated society seems to be subtitled with the phrase “Immediate Gratification” or “If it feels good do it.” However, if we take a look around Wall Street or Main Street we can see where that mantra (motto) has gotten us. Under a looming…

In my last blog, I was on my way to Philadelphia to speak at a national conference. But what was perhaps most important about the conference was the promise I made to my Self and to all of you: to work hard to remain in a vacation state of mind, long after the actual vacation…
Hello Dear Readers, I am bound for Philadelphia, so I am taking a vacation this week – but not really. You will find me vacationing, not in Philly although there are some great sights to see there, while making a “first ever of its kind” presentation to a national audience. I’ll be speaking on the…

I am sorry for the silent treatment last week, dear readers. It was for a good cause. I just finished 30 days of non stop fun (aka work…insert exhale here) but the last (and final) of these days was capped by teaching a week long seminar in Ayurveda (pronounced “ah-yer-veh-duh”) and Professional Yoga Therapy to…
A few weeks ago I was invited to write a guest blog about yoga and parenting. Read the full blog here. Here is a continuation of my blog on yoga and parenting, with two (more) ways yoga can help us all be better parents: Two More Ways that Yoga Makes You A Better Parent 1….
